yipee..my final exams in one month.never had so manyheadaches for a few exams.missing the forests..have not been to one sice dec last year.

on the last trip to periyar we got permission to visit a place called ainjuruli...secluded place with only an apc.the jeep the dept lent us had a tough time transversing the wet mud track.first time i saw wheelspin in a 4*4!!.we came across a carcass of a dhole near a femur of a sambar deer.most likely cause of death must have been while chasing the dhole would have received a fatal kick from the deer.

many congraulations to the cast and crew of slumdog millionaire...and many more congrats to rahman and resul pookutty...for some reason i think resul is not being given the same amount of attention as a.r rahman.

went for a short trip to top slip and parambikulam.managed only two satisfying shots.plenty of tiger scat in parambi..looks like the big cat is thriving in these areas.


here is a bushlark which i cant i.d and the common kestrel female.

1.Forgot to wear the slippers inside the ot..And got laughed at by everyone from the ayah to the ent surgeon...
2.Spilt tooth paste on my community medicine record..
3.Had to walk for nearly two kilometers in the highway till a blessed soul gave me a lift on his tvs50..I weighed triple the weight of the bike with its owner..I think he gave me a lift for the sole reason for testing his rear suspension.:-)
my day is complete...

exams in one and a half months....time to start chain smoking!

did a trip to parambikulam and top slip.it was unbearably hot.sightings were okay.

You would be wondering how i got the capture nx cd..Well it came free with my shiny new d300:)i sold my d200 to get this..Its a fantastic cam..The colours are fantastic..The older d200 always gave images that looked washed out..This one gives very warm colours..The focussing is much faster..And its a killer combination with the 70-200f/2.8..Now its upto me to take good photographs..

experienced writers block for the past six months!but to be frank completely forgot about the livejournal account.
a few interesting things did happen..i finished my IInd year exams and am preparing to write my third year in august.
i managed to drop my laptop and break my hard disk...lost all my beloved pictures but recovered a few from my unformatted memory cards.spot of advice....alwys,always back up your pictures in cds or external hard drives..two copies wil be extremely helpfull.
planning to do a spot of photography this may since it will be my last bit of holidays after which i have to slog through final year..

am going on a trip yessssssss...to mundanthurai - kalakd sanctuary...after nearly a year...all i need now is a camera body...got a new lens....heres a pic
